Are you looking for a Private bank job? A Career in The banking industry is a very good option for fresher graduates. Banking jobs have also become very popular among the young generation of the country.

According to Economic Times(Popular Newspaper), private banks are set to hire nearly  1 Lakh people in FY20- FY21. This is the Golden opportunity for those who were waiting for making their career in the Banking industry.

Before starting your career in the banking industry you should have good knowledge about the banking industry. In India Banks are classified into two categories- Schedule and Non-schedule banks. There are two types of banks (Commercial Banks and Cooperative Banks) under the schedule Bank category. Commercial banks include Public sector Banks, Private Sector Banks, Regional Rural Banks, Foreigner Banks, and Small Finance Banks. Out of these banks Private sector banks operating their business effectively and making a huge amount of profit.

Most of the Public sector banks are facing NPA(Non Performing asset) Problem, due to this Gov of India has been merged Public sector banks. Private and foreign banks are also facing this problem but the percentage is comparatively low. Public sector banks along with Private sector banks have also been doing a tremendous job to strengthen our economic situation since independence.

In this article, I am going to give information regarding how to get a job in Private Bank. Well, if you are graduate and looking for a job then go for a banking job. Getting a job in Public sector banks will take 6months to 1 year and completion is very high but private sector banks take less time to recruit candidates as compared to public sector banks.

Eligibility criteria for Banking Jobs:

To get a job in the Banking sector you must be eligible for the Job Role. I have listed basic eligibility criteria which are needed for a banking job

Qualification: In India, if you want to start your career with Banking industries then you have to be graduate(Minimum educational qualification). Usually, they hire candidates from all streams but if you have done your graduation in commerce and economics then it will be easy for you to get a job in Private Banks. They also hire candidates who have done their masters in finance and accounting like MBA(Finance and Accounting). If you have done your bachelor's or master's in IT, Marketing, Law, Agriculture, human resource, etc then there is also a good chance for you to get a job in Private Bank.

Age: If you are fresher your age should be at least 18. There is no certain upper age limit for banking jobs. They also hire experience persons along with freshers.

Certification: If you have any certificate in a Specific banking program then it will be added as an advantage for you to get a job in Private Bank. There are many certificates and diploma courses are available on the market. Chose according to your skill and desire. Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), (CPA) Certified Management Accountant, Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Financial Risk Manager (FRM) Certified Public Accountant. Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC). These are a few certification courses you can join according to your interests.

Banks are also taking an assessment to examine your ability to work in the Banking industry so that you should have a good knowledge of Quantitative aptitude. fluency in English has become a necessary thing to get a job in Private Bank. Try to attend mock interview classes to boosting your confidence level because interview also play a major role to get a job in Private Bank.

If you have your Bachelor's or Master's degree in banking, finance, and accounting, Marketing, Human resource then chances are very high to get placed in top Private Banks. Nowadays banks are also hiring simple graduates through campus placement. One of my friends who had done his bachelor's degree in Commerce get placed in one of the biggest private sector banks in India through Campus placement.

Direct application: Make a good list of your desired banks, after that frequently visit their carrier page to get the latest notification. You can filter it according to your hometown, experience, etc.

Job Portal: If You Have already an account on Various Job sites then make an attractive resume and apply for your desired banking jobs.  
Banking Program:  If you want to become a probationary officer of a bank then it is a golden opportunity for you. Several banks have brought banker programs for you. If you have just completed your graduation and want to be an officer of a bank then go for it. Usually, any graduates can apply for this program. This is a one-year diploma course name PGDBF(Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance). You will get also a stipend during training.
